This collection reflects the primitive construction technique used where the components are interlocking, much like a puzzle. The legs pierce the tops and the cross pieces pierce the legs, giving maximum strength to the forms. There are exposed wood plugs where the pieces intersect and the table have been sanded and scythed to give an authentic appearance. The table tops were also joined with a mitered construction with the wood grain running in opposite direction on each board, again for maximum strength and durability. The finish for luberon is a weathered pine finish with heavy burnishing and distressing to achieve the look of reclaimed wood. Pine surface are sandblasted to create a rustic appearance. Many steps of different finishing techniques were used to give Luberon its vintage appeal. From its pine solids and veneers to its simple and streamlined forms, this collection creates a warm and casual vibe that will make anyone feel at home.
